A Snapshot of Recent US Tariff Changes
Updated on Feb 25, 2026 at 15:00 CET.
On Feb. 20, 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that IEEPA does not authorize presidential tariffs. As a result, the prior IEEPA-based “reciprocal” tariff schedule listed below is no longer in force. The U.S. has since implemented a temporary Section 122 import surcharge of 10% ad valorem on imports from all countries (unless exempt), effective Feb. 24, 2026, for up to 150 days.
A potential increase to 15% has been discussed publicly, but as of Feb. 25, 2026, CBP is collecting 10% pending a new formal order.
